My engagement photo-shoot in Hong Kong had been both exciting and refreshing compared to the actual wedding day photo-shoots that I often do in Singapore. One thing I love about my job is that it doesn’t feel like work. It just so much fun to be able to take nice pictures of couples and to see the smile on their face when they look at what I have created.
I love the temperature here. It's perfect for pre-wedding/post-wedding engagement photography! You can actually walk around in a suit without sweating out a bucket :D Oh, and the scenery is great too!
The lack of free Internet access in Hong Kong had been a little frustrating. Yes, I’m cheapskate! The hotel charges around SGD$16 per day for WIFI and the hotel rooms aren’t that cheap. Free WIFI is available in some of the fast foods but it only works for 20 minutes every 24hrs! In Vietnam, a SGD$40/night hotel might include free WIFI, breakfast as well as a desktop in every room.
On the day of my departure, I was looking forward to clearing my emails while waiting for my flight. I couldn't believe it when I found out that free-internet access was actually available. To my disappointment, the connection was extremely slow and even dropped completely on a regular basis.
We’re coming to the end of 2011. It has been a wonderful year for me and I’m happy to say that I’ve achieved my goal of qualifying as a Master Photographer (LMPA) with the Master Photographers Association. My focus for 2012 will be taking my wedding photography skills to the next level with extra emphasis on pre-wedding/post-wedding engagement photography.
