Its coming to the end of the month and I’m looking forward to my trekking trip up Mount Ophir, Malaysia. Although its only 2 weeks away, I have not made any hotel bookings or what so ever. I have a strong feeling that me and my buddy will probably have to camp somewhere in the mountain.
There seems to be a lot of weddings happening this December. I had to pass on 2 of them as I had already been booked to conduct a special Christmas Photography Workshop for Sony Digital Workshop, Singapore. As much as I love to conduct workshops, I hate to forgo weddings as its just so much fun.
Last week, I provided wedding photography coverage for the lovely couple Shawn and Iris. It was really nice to be able to shoot outdoors and see some greens for a change. They celebrated their wedding at Swissotel Merchant Court Hotel, which is located close to Clarke Quay, Boat Quay and Chinatown. It would have been a fantastic place to some wedding portraits after the wedding. However, the couple was dead tired after the event ended so we decided not to.
Yesterday, I bought a new toy for myself. It’s the Gary Fong collapsible Lightsphere. I’m looking forward to test it out for a dance event that I will be covering tomorrow as well as solemnization that I will be covering this coming weekend. Its suppose to spread the light out better than a bare naked flash to give a much softer and flattering lighting. I’m also considering getting another Gitzo tripod. The Ocean Traveler! If I have the time, I’ll write a review on these products in the near future so stay tuned!
Here are some pictures from the wedding I covered:
